E<\/span>STANCIASC<\/span>OREOGR\u00c1FICAS<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

EC is an annual event\u00a0led by the\u00a0choreographer and\u00a0University Professor of Choreographic Composition Yoshua Cienfuegos<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0Campoamor Theatre<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in Oviedo (Spain) to explore diverse creative processes to promote artistic collaborations and the development of ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n

EC is a Choreographic research gathering for professional dancers, choreographers, theoretical researchers, plastic artists and composers from different backgrounds and disciplines focused on choreographic composition.<\/span><\/p>\n

The objective of EC is to encourage\u00a0artistic creation and exchange, which makes of this project an interdisciplinary dialogue that aims to find new pathways for renewal of the dynamics of each individual artistic process with a strong will to constantly question the needs of our sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

The legacy of practical and theoretical experimentation at EC is reflected in its results. Participants in EC gather relevant information about the process as its main objective is to facilitate knowledge-sharing on a shared path.<\/span><\/p>\n

4<\/b><\/span>\u00a0sentences to define Estancias Coreogr\u00e1ficas<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2013 EC is a research project open to participants worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2013 The research process starts with a search for vocabulary that emphasizes the concepts of quality and high standards. This vocabulary is then developed in the categories of space and time.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2013 The EC team is formed by choreographers, dancers, guests, researchers, composers and visual artists. EC also has programme for young dancers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2013 EC focuses on the development of choreographic tools..<\/span><\/p>\n

3<\/b><\/span>\u00a0ideas about the research process<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2013 Choreographers work in the studios while the research team \u2013 composers, visual artists, etc.\u2013 observe and document the process.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2013 All participants collaborate in the process by exchanging ideas and playing with the proposed materials. Daily discussions and reports have been always essential in the process.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2013 Results from the discussions between choreographers, artists and the rest of the team are then applied to the work carried out the following day producing new ideas and challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n

2<\/b><\/span>\u00a0exchange of ideas<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2013 EC fuses several languages of dance.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2013 EC brings together artists from the dance field as well as other performing arts (visual arts, photographers, etc.) to experiment and\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>test ideas together in the studio.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2013 EC aims to bring together participants from diverse disciplines and geographical backgrounds in one single research project, to impulse new ideas and creative challenges, to experiment, defy conventions and shape the future of contemporary dance.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABOUT YOSHUA CIENFUEGOS_Short resume<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>Graduated in Dramatic Art by ITAE, in contemporary dance at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and Master in Performing Arts, Yoshua Cienfuegos is a consolidated creator, choreographer and director of the current Spanish scene. A founding member of the Performing Arts Academy in Spain. He leds since 1999 CienfuegosDanza, a dance company with which he has created more than 30 choreographies, as well as choreographing for companies such as BCTSM of Buenos Aires, FIA, Ballet Generalitat, CND of Costa Rica, University of Malta, FCND de Venezuela, CND of El Salvador, JCD Bari, Festival Itn de Teatro Cl\u00e1sico de M\u00e9rida\u2026 with which he has won several national and international awards.<\/span><\/p>\n
